Halifax First Aid provides renewal courses for individuals who need to recertify expiring standard first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) certificates. This renewal program is created specifically for participants who have formerly done a reputable standard first aid, CPR and AED class and wish to re-certify the license. The re-certification award is of equal worth as the initial certificate and is also good for 36 months. CPR C re-certification is part of the course. Re-Cert Criteria
Individuals must satisfy the following specifications before enrolling into a standard first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation re-certification class:
- Past certificate must be written by a reputable Canadian service provider for example St Mark James Training, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Lifesaving Society or St. Johns Ambulance. If your certificate was issued through a different provider please be sure to contact us to ascertain that the cert is suitable.
- Former award must have been issued within the past 3 years. In the event the award is older than 3 years the individuals have to re-take the original class.
Class Information
The fee for the class is — dollars. This fee incorporates St Mark James certification fees and taxes. The length of the lesson is around 8 hours as dictated through provincial and federal standards. The program has to be no less than 8 hours no matter the students experience or level of skill.
St Mark James Accreditation
When candidates complete the skills aspect and multiple choice exam they’ll receive a St Mark James standard first aid cert which is current for 3 years.
