Halifax First Aid provides candidates with the several different workplace approved first aid programs. All of these courses feature cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) training and certification. Most of the first aid courses offered through us allow candidates the option of choosing the CPR level to partner with the course. The most popular and sought after first aid programs are standard, childcare and emergency first aid. Standard First Aid
Standard first aid is the longest and most popular workplace approved first aid training course that we offer. This course is typically completed within two days and takes at least 14 hours of class time to complete. Participants enrolled in this program will learn a variety of first aid skills. CPR level “C” is included in the course, however, candidates have the opportunity to pair this course with CPR “HCP” for a small additional cost. Candidates that complete this course will receive a workplace approved standard first aid, CPR and AED certificate which is valid for 36 months.
Emergency First Aid
Emergency first aid is another popular program that we feature in Halifax. This is a 8 hour basic first aid program that also features CPR and AED training. We feature this course with CPR level “A” but allow candidates to upgrade to CPR level “C” for a small additional cost. This course features education and training to recognize and manage basic first aid emergencies such as respiratory and cardiovascular emergencies. Childcare First Aid
Childcare first aid and CPR is a program developed for individuals that work in the child minding or child care industry. This popular workplace approved course is easily the most detailed and comprehensive first aid and CPR course offered through St Mark James Training. Candidates must take this course with CPR level “B” and AED training. Participants that complete the program will receive a certificate stating childcare first aid, CPR level “B” and AED certification. This award is a wallet sized certificate but candidates can also receive a wall sized mount.
